Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde was released in theaters in 2001. After theaters, there were DVDs made. Later, it was was made into a  Broadway musical in 2007. Today, it's on Netflix, Amazon, and other streaming sites.

Distribution: A Cinderella Story

A Cinderella Story was released July 16, 2004 in theaters. Now, it's on Netflix and Amazon for people to stream whenever or wherever they wish. This is the same vision that we have for our film. We want it to be streaming soon after it leaves the theaters, but stay streaming and popular for years.

Distribution Research

Traditional distribution for films include movie theaters, televisions, on demand, and streaming programs such as Netflix. To distribute our product, we would attempt to show our film at local movie theaters. As well as this, try to put it on Netflix, Hulu, or another similar streaming program.

Marketing Plan

To market our film, we decided to make internet ads, tv commercials, and print ads. We chose internet ads because you can narrow down things such as the location, age, and interests to target. By creating internet ads, you can market different ones to people of different ages. We can also do the same using locations, for example, saying it's playing in a nearby theater. Tv commercials are a successful way to market for similar reasons.  The marketing method we're going to create is the print ad. This will be a poster of the main character, promoting the film.

Target Audience #3: Spiderman:Homecoming

Image
Spider-man: Homecoming was released in 2017, with a pg-13 rating. Although it reached mostly teens, marvel movies are usually loved by all ages. Another wide target audience brought the success of this film. As well as this, the overall appeal of a drama/comedy makes the target audience so wide. Being a Marvel movie, there is a feeling of nostalgia for adults who've seen old Marvel movies, as well as excitement in superhero movies for the younger part of the audience. Overall, Marvel is loved by almost all, so the target audience is wide. In our film, we're going to try to make the film appealing to all like in Spider-man: Homecoming. Lots of posters and billboards were everywhere near the time of this film's release. A lot were showing Spiderman around the city. Some posters had Robert Downery Jr., whom would help contribute to the sales of this movie, as he stared in Iron Man, and is a marvel "avenger".

Target Audience #2: Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad blew up the box offices. With a rating of pg-13, it reached and appealed to nearly everyone. The film made over $746 million worldwide, an incredible amount. It was the 10th highest grossed film of 2016. They marketed the film with commercials, billboards, and phone ads that appear in everyone's daily lives. The target audience is 13 and up, so it reaches a very large audience. Almost everyone was raving about this film. Being able to reach people young to old makes the film's popularity soar. By incorporating aspects that make the film appealing for a large target audience like this, our film could greatly succeed. In this film, the actors Jared Leto and Margot Robbie helped to contribute sales, because of their popularity. When people see these celebrities are staring in a movie their fans will be inclined to watch. $75 million went to this film's campaign. Popular songs in the trailers like "Bohemian Rapsody" also helped to tie people in to seeing...
