Casting

Miles Johnson: We chose him to play Silas Smith, a stop-motion artist who's working on a new film. Miles Johnson is best fit for the role because he has natural assets that qualify him for the role and relate to the vision of who we had in mind. He's had acting experience in middle school plays. As this is a scene with very little dialogue, we chose someone who can show emotion and facial expressions well. He also can use body language to portray emotion rather than just through speech. As well as this, he fits the part well physically. He looks the right age for the role (early 20s), and also is the correct height that we're searching for.
We decided to only have one character in this because the first two minutes are only showing him trying to film. As it focuses on him, there is no necessity to add extra characters.
